In 2016, we had a desire to open a home in Madrid, to meet the needs of homeless people there.
The search for a property was a challenge. There are no large flats in Madrid, as the city had been bombed and rebuilt mid-twentieth century.
In spite of all this, the word spread about our search, and we met a lady who owned a flat in the city centre which she wanted to be used for the good of the community. Lazarus signed a renewable 2-year lease and we now renew the lease annually.
